Costa Blanca
Torrevieja, the cultural heart of the Costa Blanca,
is a vibrant town and port in the southern part of the Valencian
community and is surrounded by two large natural lagoons which form
the well known "Salterns of Torrevieja" considered the
biggest in Europe. It has easy access to the Mediterranean motorway
(A-7) at 35kms from the international airport of El Altet (Alicante),
the provincial capital, and San Javier (Murcia), and near to the
main Madrid-Alicante road. Torrevieja is today a first class tourist
centre, in fact one of the most important of the Mediterranean. The
dry climate with 320 sunny days in the year and an average temperature
of 18 degrees centigrade, merge with attractive and pleasant characteristics.
There are magnificent sand beaches (which have been awarded the blue
flags of the EEC), squares, avenues, esplanades, park, gardens, natural
parks which are protected and internationally recognised as being
of high ecological value, occupying 50% of the township. |

In Torrevieja, the facilities and natural conditions
for water sports are of course excellent. An example of these
are the "Real Club Nautico" and the "Puerto
Deportivo Marina Internacional", in which there are more
than 1500 high quality moorings. Surrounding Torrevieja, there
are five golf courses, where national and international championships
are regularly held. |
The coast is ideal for swimming and fishing
in pleasant water thanks to the Spanish fine weather. Sports
like squash, tennis or golf can be practiced all year round.
Beaches, landscapes and temperature are unique to the White
Coast. During your leisure time you can practice any sport
or taste our typical dishes prepared from natural products
creating the ideal ingredients for enjoying a pleasant life.
